Yale-NUS Heads Out to Talk to the World!

Dear Prospective Students, Parents, Friends,
Things have been going full steam ahead here at the Yale-NUS College Office of Admissions over the past month!  We have received our first set of applications in our Special Inaugural Round of Admissions and it’s been a busy April with all our reading and interviewing.  With the last stretch of the admissions cycle ahead of us, we expect to release decisions very soon.  Everyone who has submitted a complete application will hear back from us by 15 May 2012 at the very latest.
This summer, Yale-NUS College will be traveling around the world!  Yale-NUS College and Yale University will hit the road together in May and June 2012 for a series of public information sessions in some very exciting cities.  Come check us out at these venues: http://www.yale-nus.edu.sg/index.php/events.html - more locations and events will be added to this page over the coming weeks.
We also have an exciting announcement to make: Yale-NUS College is now officially a member of the Common Application (https://www.commonapp.org/CommonApp/default.aspx).  This means that if you apply to US colleges or universities using the Common App later this year, you can use this same application to apply to Yale-NUS College in any of our Regular Rounds of Admissions (http://yale-nus.edu.sg/index.php/apply/application-process/application-deadlines.html).  This saves you the hassle of filling out many different applications!
And lastly, as many of you would know, Yale-NUS College has been making the headlines over the past 2 weeks.  We have reposted various articles and commentaries on our Yale-NUS blog (www.yalenusblog.com), so do come check us out and let us know what you think.
As always, if you have any questions, please email us at admissions@yale-nus.edu.sg – we promise to get back to you as soon as we can.

Best wishes,

Dear Scholarshipages readers,

Happy New Year from Yale-NUS College!

Some not-to-be-missed recent highlights include:
  • The official announcement of two additional degree programs.  In addition to the Double Degree Program with Law, Yale-NUS will also offer a Concurrent Degree with Environmental Studiesprogram at Yale – this is a five-year program that gives Yale-NUS students the opportunity to earn a Master of Environmental Management degree from Yale’s top-ranked School of Forestry & Environmental Studies.  As part of their experience, Yale-NUS students will spend a semester during their third year taking classes at Yale with Yale students and faculty and will spend their fifth year of study at Yale as well. Click here for more information on this amazing new program: http://yale-nus.edu.sg/Concurrent-Degree-with-YFES.html.
