KUCHING: Students who applied for Public Service Department (JPA) scholarships this year have been advised to check the status of their applications on the department’s official website.
In stating this yesterday, SUPP education bureau executive secretary Calvin Chin said: “Students who are successful in their applications must acknowledge their acceptance of the offer the latest by this Friday.
“Failure to do so would mean that they have rejected the offer by the government.”
Chin said the bureau would look into cases of those who failed to get the scholarships to do degree programmes both overseas and locally.
“We will only look into cases of those who secured at least 8A1’s in the SPM examination last year but failed in their application,” he said, adding that those offered courses not to their preference could also approach SUPP.
Students can contact SUPP headquarters at 082-246 999 for more information.
