MCA National Youth Education Bureau today urges SPM school leavers who have applied for Matriculation academic session 2011/2012 to start checking their status beginning 28th April 2011 via the following modes:

1) SMS: type MOEMATIdentity Card number and send to 15888

2) Website: log into www.moe.gov.my

3) Hotline: call 03-88844083 during working days from 8.30 am till 4.30 pm

Successful applicants must report themselves at their respective matriculation college on 23rd May 2011 and they may download the offer letter as well as all the relevant information beginning 28th April 2011 from the website.

Eligible but unsuccessful applicants may appeal online from 28th April till 13th May 2011 at the same website. In addition, applicants who need MCA National Youth Education Bureau’s assistance are advised to also download the MCA National Youth Appeal form (Borang Rayuan Kemasukan Matrikulasi Tahun 2011) at our website www.mca.org.my and kindly submit the form to the following address before our closing date on 10th May 2011 as the appeal result will be made known on 2nd June 2011.

KLMU Scholarship from MCA (Malaysian Chinese Association)

MCA Youth has embarked on a five-year collaboration with Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan  University College (KLMU).

KLMU which is part of Cosmopoint pledged RM8 million to deserving Chinese students whose academic results are average thus preventing them from receiving any form of scholarship or entry into local public universities.

KLMU is the first private institute of higher learning to contribute RM 8million to the MCA Youth Higher Education Fund catering to needy students.

There are two (2) types of scholarships available: Full and Partial.

The scholarships will help SPM students with 5 credits and STPM students with a CGPA below 3.0. Priority will also be given to poor students from single parent families.

The RM 8 million pledge is another chapter in MCA Youth’s history of enabling education mobility to more and more Malaysians to pursue further studies via collaboration with private institutes of higher learning.

New pathway for medicine - Perdana University

Overview
Perdana University Graduate School of Medicine is a private university that provides a new pathway for Malaysian and international students who want to further their studies in the field of medicine after they have completed a different undergraduate degree or pathway. Perdana University adopted the "Genes to Society (GTS) curriculum", the curriculum which is used at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Johns Hopkins University is a prestigious university in the United States specifically in the medicine field. Admission Requirement 
-Holders of Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), matriculation or its equivalent. Students have to complete their pre-university courses and undergraduate courses before they enroll to Perdana University. Students who completed SPM are not allowed to enrolled temporarily since no courses are available yet.
- Completed the English Proficiency Test: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examination or Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or MUET Examination.
- Completed Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) and other tests.
- Official Transcripts Submission
- Essays
- Letter of evaluation
